Accommodations

Artists will be provided with studio space, a private room with bath and linens, and rustic outdoor kitchen facilities at no charge to the artist. Shared laundry facilities are available.

Artists should bring everything they need for productive art-making with them, and plan to be present at the property for the duration of their residency. Details regarding studio facilities and needs will be clarified with selected artists in advance.

An orientation meal will be hosted at the beginning of each residency period, and a farewell meal prior to departure; otherwise artists provide and prepare their own food.

CABIN

The rustic cabin is comfortably furnished and enjoys dramatic views from its bedroom, outdoor kitchen, outdoor shower and wrap-around deck. The interior has a bedroom, WC and closet, with solar-powered electricity, running water and heat.

ROOMS

There are two, modern private rooms at Wildlands, on a dedicated wing of the main house. Each private room has its own door to the outside. They share an attached bath and a nearby outdoor kitchen.

Studio (workspace)

The barn is a modern shed building with generous northern daylight, an operable roll-up door, and is not air conditioned. The Barn studio, approx. 400 sq. ft., can be configured for one or two workspaces, depending on how many artists are in residence at a time and/or artists’ needs in regards to their mediums and privacy.

TENT CABIN (Workspace)

Located down a bucolic wooded path, the light-filled tent cabin is furnished as an artist’s studio/workspace. This is the most rustic and isolated of the accommodations at Wildlands, with no electricity or running water.
